The Musso & Frank Grill

ABOUT

Story Farm has teamed up with the fourth-generation family owners of Musso & Frank Grill to create a gorgeous book celebrating the 100th anniversary of Hollywood’s oldest restaurant. Oh, the stories this place can tell, with the likes of everyone from Charlie Chaplin, Raymond Chandler, Marilyn Monroe and Alfred Hitchock to Johnny Depp, Keith Richards, Mila Kunis and countless others figuring into the mix.  Then there’s the food – flannel cakes for breakfast, chicken potpie for lunch, and, of course, for dinner a primo steak. Not to mention what is widely recognized as the best martini on planet earth. Novelist and Vanity Fair contributing writer Michael Callahan penned the main narrative and LA-based writer David Futch handled the many sidebars and anecdotes. Illustrations by Florida artist Rick Plummer. Photography by Jonpaul Douglass. The book also includes an introduction from best selling mystery novelist Michael Connelly about sitting at the Musso & Frank bar paying proper homage to those martinis.
