Feast Your Way Through Election Season with “United We Eat”, the Debut Cookbook by Capri S. Cafaro

With election season and the dog days of summer both in full swing, we’re dealing with the heat and political beef by cooking some bi-partisan recipes from Story Farm’s latest book: United We Eat: 50 Great American Dishes To Bring Us All Together. The debut cookbook by Capri S. Cafaro, a national news commentator, founder of Humble Pie Home + Kitchen and former Ohio state senator, features recipes and photos representing all 50 states with contributions from well-known political leaders from both sides of the aisle, who share their favorite recipes for bringing people together during these tumultuous times.

The recipes represent a range of dishes from breakfast to dessert, many adapted by Capri herself and some contributed by various political figures, including 2020 Democrat Presidential candidates Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s Hoosier Pier and Sen. Amy Klobuchar Taco Nite Tater Tot Hotdish; former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s Pulled Pork & Smoked Corn, Mama D’Amato’s Lasagna by former Sen. Alfonse D’Amato; Rep. Don Young’s Alaskan Halibut Bake and Jean’s Seafood Gumbo by Donna Brazile, former Democratic national committee chair.
